3. Select a date and start time

4.  Add - a sausage sizzle $5 per head.

5. Email your tour or workshop request to historicalsydney@gmail.com for booking confirmation within 24 hours.

Indigenous & Colonial School Tours

Coastal Tour $25 per student


 

  • Join myself and one of our knowledgeable Indigenous guides, on a 2-hour journey back to our ancient past.
  • Be welcomed with an Ochre ceremony and a Welcome to the Country.
  • Learn how the First Australians fished, dived, gathered and hunted in the beach side areas.
  • Let our Indigenous guide bring to life the landscape around us and how it once looked.
  • Discover bush tucker and medicine all around you.
  • Come to understand the huge and deadly changes that came with the arrival of Europeans.
  • Add-on a beach sausage sizzle and drink for just $5 per student/teacher
  • Minimum student numbers: 32 or $800.00
  • Valid Insurance, Risk Assessment, Covid Safety Plan & WWCC available for all tours. 

Berry Island Wollstonecraft - Survivor

Coastal Experience $17 per student


 

  • Join me at the beautiful Berry Island Reserve on the harbour at Wollstonecraft (no longer an island).
  • Here the students will be thrown into a Survivor scenario. It is 1788 and their boat has sunk in dangerous waters, they have made it to shore with basic equipment. How do they survive such a situation?
  • Students will be taught to orientate themselves, look for dangerous animals, hostile human cooking fires and gather precise resources.
  • There are three things' humans need to Survive - Food, water & shelter.
  • Students will be encouraged to drink coconut water and eat its flesh, survive on raw fish and freshly caught prawns (this can be varied if students have allergies)
  • Add-on a beach sausage sizzle and drink for just $5 per student/teacher
  • Minimum student numbers: 30 or $500.00
  • Valid Insurance, Risk Assessment, Covid Safety Plan & WWCC available for all tours. 

Convict & Colonial History or Geography School Tours

Coastal Tour $17 per student


  • Join Grant Hyde, author & historical Guide, on a 2-hour educational, fun and interesting coastal walk about our City Beaches.
  • Learn about the Convict & Colonial history of the area, taste the edible plants and seaweeds once collected by the early settlers.
  • Learn about the ancient geography of the City Beaches. From the 800-million-year-old river that washed sand into the Sydney basin to wind & erosion to the last Glacial Period (Ice Age)
  • For first time clients I will include a tasty sausage sizzle. The kids love it. 
  • Minimum student numbers: 30 or $500 

Corporate Experiences

Coastal Tour $50 per person

  • Bombora can provide bespoke tours or workshops to suit your time and budget.
  • A great team building experience.
  • Bring your cozzies for a dip at some hidden swimming holes.
  • Add a beach sausage sizzle or a lunch at one of the many restaurants at your chosen departure beach or arrival beach. (An additional charge pending your choice of venue)
  • Minimum guest numbers: 14 participants or $700 + GST

800 Millon years ago an enormous river of   sand washed into the Sydney basin from 1,00km west. Now, below us lies 6kms of Hawkesbury Sandstone. The undulating waves in the river can still be seen today, frozen in time.
